Dog Licenses
The Teaneck Health Department would like to remind dog owners that current dog licenses expire on December 31st. Dog owners have until February 28th to renew their dog licenses without any penalty.
Residents who have new dogs or who need renewal applications may obtain one by calling (201) 837-1600 ext. 1500, registering via SDL, or downloading the Dog License Application. Renewal applications are also being mailed at the end of December.
Free rabies shots can be arranged through the Bergen Veterinary Hospital at (201) 837-3470, or the Bergen County Animal Shelter at (201) 229-4600 (call for available clinic dates). Per NJ State guidelines rabies shots must be valid though November 1, 2024 for a 1-Year License and through November 1, 2025 for a 3-Year License.
Applications and appropriate fees must be received by January 31, 2024 to avoid any penalties and/or fines. (Cash/MO/Check – payable to the Township of Teaneck) – For online submissions, please visit SDL.
The fee is $12 for spayed/neutered and $15 for non-spayed/non-neutered. As of March 1st, a $15 late fee will be added.
NOTE: Three-Year Dog Licenses are available at a fee of $36.00 for Spayed/Neutered and $45.00 for Non-Spayed/Non-Neutered.
