After School Childcare | Teaneck Township

We are proud to offer a program that stimulates both the minds and bodies of our youth residents during the "after school" hours. The philosophy of the program is to enable the child to foster their self-esteem socially, physically and emotionally through age appropriate activities. The children are exposed to many positive influences and creative enrichment programs such as: Mystery Club, Book Worm Club, Mathletes Club, sports, free play, arts and crafts, special events (science fair, poetry jams, talent show, mini Olympics). Good health and nutrition habits are encouraged along with exposure to environmental awareness. Students also have opportunities to play recreational games, sports activities, and explore their creativity through a variety of craft projects and special events.

Daily activities include time for homework (with staff assistance) and offers children a game room featuring ping pong, foosball, billiards and an assortment of board games. Daily snacks are provided. Also available to participants is Pasta or Pizza Thursdays.

After School Hours

Monday through Friday or any combination of days during the week from the start of the Teaneck Schools in September through the end in June.

The program operates from school dismissal to 6:00 p.m. and follows the Teaneck Public School Calendar including snow days, holidays, vacations, as well as Municipal holidays. Children ages 5 through 13* are welcomed to register.

Registration begins in mid-May and is on-going for the following school year that starts that Fall. Registration is available in-person until the program is full. It continues throughout the year if openings in the program remain.

There is an initial application fee for each child of $25.00. These application fees are due at the time of registration and are non-refundable. Once accepted into the program, monthly fee of $150 for the first child and $125 for siblings are due on scheduled dates. This program is extremely popular and fills quickly. On rare occasions, there are openings in this programs after initial registration is complete and residents will be accepted during the school year.
