Captain Michael Ferrante

Captain Michael Ferrante has been a member to the Teaneck Police Department since 1993 and is currently assigned as Operations Division Commander. Captain Ferrante’s assignments have included Patrol Supervisor, Traffic Bureau Supervisor, Patrol Shift Commander, Service Bureau Commander, Accreditation Manager, Investigations Division Commander. As Operations Commander Captain Ferrante oversees the Traffic Bureau, the Community Policing Bureau and Motor Patrol.

Motor Patrol:

Motor Patrol is comprised of 48 officers responsible for handling response to calls for service, which include crimes in progress, medical emergencies, quality of life concerns and traffic enforcement.

Traffic Bureau:

The Traffic Bureau is comprised of 6 officers whose responsibilities include, traffic enforcement, conducting traffic studies, parking enforcement, conducting traffic safety programs, responding to specific traffic related complaints and making recommendations regarding traffic safety improvements.

Community Policing Bureau:

The Community Policing Bureau is comprised of 2 officers whose responsibilities include addressing quality of life issues, serving as a liaison between the department and community organizations, conducting residential, commercial and house of worship security risk assessments as well as crime prevention and interactive community programs.
