TEANECK TOWNSHIP, a diverse community of 40,000 residents with a municipal court staff of six, is soliciting requests for resumes from interested persons for the position of Alternate Judge of Municipal Court ($450/per session). This position is an Unclassified Municipal Employee position and compensation is in accordance with Sec. 2-48 of the Township Code. Attorneys who are New Jersey residents and have practiced law for at least five years will be considered for a one-year non-tenured term as Alternate Judge of the Municipal Court by the governing body and in accordance with N.J.S.A. 2B:12-5. Successful candidates are subject to approval by the Assignment Judge of Bergen County, and being sworn in by a Superior Court Judge.
